Crop PDF
Trim the margins of every page in a PDF
1 inch ≈ 72 points. E.g. enter 36 to trim half an inch from a side.
This tool trims the margins of every page in a PDF by adjusting its crop box — handy for removing excess white space or unwanted borders.
How to crop a PDF
Upload a PDF, enter how many points to trim from the top, bottom, left, and right (72 points = 1 inch), then click Crop PDF.
When is cropping useful?
Cropping a PDF helps when you need to:
- Remove wide margins before printing on smaller paper
- Cut out scanner borders or artifacts
- Tighten a page around its visible content for a cleaner look
Does cropping delete content permanently?
Cropping changes the visible area (the crop box) without deleting the underlying page content — but any content outside the new crop box will no longer be visible or printed.
Frequently asked questions
Can I preview the crop before saving?
Not yet in this version — start with small margin values and check the downloaded result, increasing as needed.
Can I crop each page differently?
This tool applies the same margins to every page. Pages of different sizes will be cropped proportionally to the same point values.
Is cropping reversible?
Not with this tool once saved — keep a copy of your original PDF if you might need the original margins later.
